Getting Involved - Volunteer Requirements

Outside of serving as a Head Coach, Assistant Coach, or Coordinator, the primary way to fulfill your family’s annual volunteer commitment is by working a designated shift at an FYBA-hosted Boys or Girls Tiger Classic tournament. Typical volunteer duties include concessions, court monitoring, setup and cleanup, and serving as a site runner.

Volunteer shifts are posted on Crossbar, typically two weeks before each tournament. These are the only official FYBA volunteer opportunities available during the season.

If your family is unable to fulfill its commitment, you may arrange for a substitute who is at least 16 years old to complete the required hours on your behalf.

The following activities do not count toward the volunteer commitment: serving as a team manager, keeping the scorebook during games, taking photos for the team webpage, or assisting coaches during practices.
