In-House Basketball

Program Overview

The FYBA In-House Basketball Program is designed to provide players of all skill levels with an opportunity to learn and enjoy the game in a fun, inclusive, and development-focused environment. The program emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and confidence while creating a positive experience with minimal barriers to participation.

Teams are formed with the goal of creating balanced competition, with an emphasis on learning, participation, and equal or near-equal playing time. Games are played locally, allowing families to enjoy a manageable time commitment while providing players with a rewarding and community-centered basketball experience.

The In-House Basketball Program is committed to:

  • Providing an opportunity for players of all skill levels to participate in organized basketball.
  • Teaching and reinforcing fundamental basketball skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and teamwork.
  • Promoting a fun, positive environment that fosters a lifelong enjoyment of the game.
  • Encouraging sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, and strong character both on and off the court.
  • Building confidence, athletic ability, and personal growth.
  • Ensuring balanced participation and meaningful playing time for all players.
  • Strengthening community involvement and connections through local competition.

** Girls Preseason Player Evaluation: All FYBA girls registered for either In-House/Rec or Travel Basketball will participate in a preseason player evaluation. This helps us better understand each player’s current skill level to support player development and team formation.

Fundraising - Raffle Tickets

Fundraising plays an important role in supporting a nonprofit program like ours, helping ensure we can continue providing quality opportunities for players while managing increasing operational costs. As our program has grown, expenses such as additional gym space and referee coverage have also increased. To help support these needs in a sustainable way, we are introducing a raffle ticket program for 2026, with proceeds helping to offset operational costs.

Each family is required to purchase $50 in raffle tickets at jersey pick up. Families may choose to keep the tickets or sell them.

For those who prefer not to participate in the raffle, there is an option to opt out by paying a $50 fee at the time of jersey pick up.
